Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) instruction manual[1]

Chaos Snap (カオススナップ, Kaosu Sunappu) is a move by Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is a variant of Chaos Attack where Shadow warps between opponents to strike.

Description[]

The Chaos Snap is an enhanced version of Shadow's Chaos Attack, his kicks and punches being multiplied in power and speed due to Chaos energy. When performing this move, Shadow enters his Chaos Boost state and uses Chaos Control to warp between opponents where he lands several fierce hits on them.

Trivia[]

  • The Chaos Snap and the Chaos Boost as a whole either originate from, or is the same move that appeared in the opening movie of Shadow the Hedgehog, where Shadow attacked multiple Black Arms instantly in a succession.[2]
  • There is a similar move used by Lancelot when he uses Soul Surge in Sonic and the Black Knight called Chaos Punishment which resembles the Chaos Snap.
  • The Chaos Snap is very similar to Sonic's Light Speed Attack in that it is a rapid attack on many foes.
